Two years or so after announcing that a workflow to handle user-owned workspaces was coming, Microsoft is rolling out the update to tenants worldwide. The process is manual, but not much automation is possible to review and preserve workspace content.

OneDrive for Business might be the biggest challenge because of the variety of application data that now ends up in user OneDrive accounts. Agents and Flows are also an area of concern, as are objects like apps, phone numbers, and recurring meetings.

When someone leaves a Microsoft 365 organization, the possibility exists that they leave some active Teams online meetings dangling behind them. What can be done to take over these meetings and make someone else the meeting organizer? The answer is simple: nothing. Organizing a replacement meeting is one way out, but maybe it’s best to use a dedicated account to organize important company events.
